Cooper's First Trick or Treating

Happy Halloween friends!

Well...today was memorable.

It started with Mommy wanting a picture in his monkey costume.  Due to padded feet, he took a face plant resulting in a busted upper lip.  My poor baby had a rough start to his Halloween experience.

Thankfully, I had a back up monkey jumper that was much more toddler friendly.  After ice, hi-c (not normally allowed), and a fort building session he was good as new.  Well...new with a dent on the lip :-(.

Samantha, Anthony, and Charlotte all came over to trick or treat around our house.  I was apprehensive trick or treating in our neighborhood, considering we did not have a single ghost or ghoul last year; however, there were tons of kiddo's out and lots of houses participating.

All in all it was a great night!

Right before the fall.  Darn...cushy feet bottoms.

Every time someone opened the door, Cooper took the candy and proceeded into their house.  We need to work on stranger danger.

Cutest Lady Bug Ever!

Anthony escorting lil' bug!  Best quote of the night "I'll take one for me and one for my momma."

Too much cute!  Eyes hurt.

The trek continues.

The house had a zombie...bad memories for munchkin.

Me and my fat lipped monkey.

Yep...that's a chick-fil-a mint.  Awesome!

Holiday's are much more fun with kiddo's!  It's like being a kid all over again!  Hope everyone had a great night!

Pumpkin Fun

Two posts in 1 week, what?!

This Saturday we hosted our first "Pumpkin Fun" Halloween Party.  The adults and kiddo's partook in pumpkin carving and mini pumpkin painting.  We had a great time nom'ing and catching up with great friends.

The guys took pumpkin carving very seriously:

Painting!

Ashlyn wanted to paint a big pumpkin.

And Ryan...

Bryan's awesome mini pumpkin.
Ashlyn's finished pumpkin.  Love it!

Maddy cheesin' it up next to her masterpiece.

So we learned not to leave Nicole alone too long with a brush.  Though some liked the original, I appreciate the abstract finished product :-).

Dylan's masterpiece.

Dylan's pumpkins' full effect.

Ry's pumpkin and my pumpkin belly.

Spooky!

Thank you all who came out and I hope to see you all before our New Year's Brunch!

Mega Update

Hi blog family,

Sorry, for the lack of posts.  Due to gummy's upcoming arrival, we have converted our office into Cooper's big boy room.  The main computer has yet to be fully set up and I refuse to type on the ipad.  I have temporarily confiscated Ry's computer so here comes the mother of all updates.

Below you will see Cooper age like crazy :-).

10-11 month old Cooper.  I miss his hippy hair.

1st play date with cousin Pax:

Pax is a hugger/tackler :-)
Checking each other out.  Yep...I like him ;-).

Dinner with friends:

Finally!  The Matulnes' are having a boy.

Coop with his eyes always on the O's.

First word at 10 months, "dada."

Month 10-11was so much fun!  Everyday Cooper discovered something new.  He mastered "mama" and "dada" at 10 months and took his first steps at 11 months. The awesome thing about Coop is he gets so excited when he masters a new skill.  It's easy to get him excited about learning.  Hopefully, this lasts the rest of his life!

12 month old Cooper

Happy 1st Birthday!  Cooper celebrated year 1 on his actual first birthday.  Gigi and Papa C graciously hosted a Mexican Pool Party at their house.  I was not 100%, due to a newly formed gummy.  Hence, the lack of pictures with lil' man.

Ry and I are completely dumbfounded when it comes to our life.  We have amazing friends, the most loving and supportive family, and the greatest blessing a couple could ever ask for; a healthy, inquisitive, sweet, adorable, inspiring baby boy.

Thank you everyone who came to celebrate a life we're still pinching ourselves to believe.

I have no idea what's going on.

Classic Cooper.  Amid the chaos, Cooper was done.  He decided to tune out and lay down for a bit.

Dallas Arboretum month 14

We had a great time with Granny at the Dallas Arboretum Pumpkin Patch.  I too think it will be a great October tradition.

Family picture complete with serious Cooper face.

Most kids ran around screaming.  Cooper plopped down to inspect the pumpkins.

You can't tell by his expression but Cooper loves his Grannie.  He kept demanding she pick him up.

Monkey costume pose, FAIL.

Finally, no more pumpkins!  Frogs shooting water...yes please!

Bye pumpkin world...till next year.

All right folks!  Per your constant request, the blog has been updated.  I will try to keep on top of posting because this update has taken forever :-)!
